Clarity Helps Service Provider Deliver Training Using Multiple Methods
Challenge
A leading government service provider requested that Clarity assist with a training program. The program would describe the relationship between various government agencies regarding planning and developing new products and technologies that would have applications for defense, combat operations, and other areas.
Opportunity
The training would be deployed primarily using a compact disk (CD), but would also reside in a Web browser environment. The client wanted a subset of the CD content to be placed in a video format that the sales and marketing team could use for sales presentations.
The consultant assisting on the project would primarily be responsible for managing the project, creating a viable design and storyboards, and interacting with the production team. Clarity provided an instructional designer who had extensive experience working with government agencies.
Results
Clarity’s consultant began by creating high-level design documents, followed quickly by navigation flowcharts and production storyboards. After the design was handed to the production team, the consultant served as the project manager, ensuring that the development adhered to the schedule.
The consultant worked with a variety of people on the project, managing key relationships professionally and overseeing the production of training and video deliverables that were a good fit with the client’s needs and culture.
Clarity enabled the client to:
• Train employees using both Web-based and multimedia formats.
• Deliver the training by the specified deadline.
