Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (Turner Broadcasting), a subsidiary of Time Warner, has consistently won awards and top honors for its commitment to providing the best working environment for its employees. To maintain this winning culture, Turner Broadcasting updated its performance management system.
Successful implementation of the new system required significant updates to the related training module, which had to be completed in time to train employees to set and manage their goals for the upcoming year.
Clarity provided an instructional designer with organizational development expertise who was also skilled in Articulate® and Captivate®. The project had a very tight timeline of approximately one month. After assessing the existing training module, the consultant realized that the rework would be more complex than originally planned. The entire course had to be rewritten. New screen captures and simulations had to be created using Captivate, and a new Articulate presentation had to be developed. Because of employee turnover, there was minimal subject matter expertise available in the department to support the consultant on the project. She therefore began asking questions and forming a network of subject matter experts in other departments.
Despite obstacles and a tight project deadline, the consultant created a new, high-quality training module that Turner Broadcasting could deliver to employees. The consultant received many compliments regarding her work on the project and the improved training module. As a result of her dedication and professional work, the consultant received a referral to work on a new project in a different department.
